Pulse Manual Index

Messages

The agent messages tab provides a view of up to 100 of the most recent error and warning messages for the agent. This allows you to diagnose problems on your pulse™ servers. Note that this log is kept in host memory, and will be emptied when the agent is restarted.

Navigation

Messages are displayed from most recent to least in pages of 10. To move between pages, use the links at the top or bottom of the page.

Information Shown

For each log message, you will see the following fields:

  • the time the error/warning occured
  • the severity of the message ("severe" for errors, "warning" for warnings)
  • a count of how many times the error/warning has occurred consecutively (i.e. consecutive duplicate messages are supressed)
  • the origin of the message, useful for pulse™ developers when tracking down problems
  • a message indicating the nature of the problem
  • in some cases, an exception backtrace indicating the exact location of the problem

This information should enable you to determine if the problem is caused by your particular configuration, or if it may be a bug in the pulse™ version you are using. If you suspect a bug, please report it to supprot@zutubi.com or lodge it at http://jira.zutubi.com/. Please include all details from the log message in your report.
