Pulse Manual Index

Introduction

The pulse™ developer tools is a package that you install on your local development machine to allow you to take full advantage of advanced pulse™ features. The tools consist of two major components:

  • The personal build client. This client allows you to submit personal builds to a pulse™ server, allowing you to test changes before you check them in to your SCM.
  • The local build engine. This allows you to execute a pulse™ build on your local machine, in your own working copy.

This manual describes how to install and use the tools. It compliments the information in the main pulse™ Manual, which describes how to use the pulse™ server.

Overview

This manual is divided into the following sections:

Section Description
Installing the Developer Tools Describes how to obtain and install developer tools packages.
Personal Build Client Describes how to configure and use the personal build client.
Local Build Engine Describes how to configure and use the local build engine.
