Overview

User groups may be granted permissions to perform specific actions on specific agents. These permissions are configured at the agent level. As agents are template, the permissions are inherited like other configuration. Note, however, that the "view" permission is also reverse inherited; see the Understanding Templates page for details.

Available Actions

administer

This is a "super" privilege. Users with "administer" permission have full control of the corresponding agent.

disable

This permission allows a user to disable and re-enabled the agent. When an agent is disabled, it will not be used to execute builds.

ping

This permission allows a user to manually request an agent ping. Usually manual pings are unnecessary, as all agents are pinged at regular intervals.

view

This permission allows a user to view an agent's status and configuration. Note that even without this permission a user may be aware of an agent's existence as its name may appear in build results.

The view permission is reverse inherited; refer to the Understanding Templates page for details.

write

This permission allows the user to edit an agent's configuration.
