Resources

Resources are external requirements for executing builds. For example, a resource may be a compiler required to build source code, or a specific type of operating system. A repository of resources is maintained on each pulse™ agent, and may be referenced implicitly or explicitly in recipes. You can also reference resources by requiring them for a project. Referencing resources in this way allows capability-based dispatching of builds to agents: agents can be matched to the required resources.

Each resource consists of one or more versions, where the one version always present is known as the "default" version. Each version in turn can define zero or more properties. When a resource is referenced, its properties are introduced into the pulse file, environment (e.g. JAVA_HOME) or search path for executables (e.g. java.bin).
